What is Google Gemini in Meet?
Gemini in Google Meet is Google's built-in AI meeting assistant, available to eligible Google Workspace subscribers rather than as a standalone app. Its "Take notes for me" feature automatically captures meeting notes, summaries, and action items and saves them to a Google Doc that is shared with the organizer and attached to the calendar event; a "summary so far" lets latecomers catch up. It also offers real-time translated captions and AI audio/video enhancements such as studio lighting, studio sound, and noise cancellation. Because it lives inside Meet, it works only for Google Meet calls and not Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex. It is included in Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise plans (and Gemini/Frontline editions), but not Business Starter. Notes integrate natively with Google Docs, Drive, and Calendar across the Workspace ecosystem. English and several additional languages are supported.
